CORNELLO DEI TASSO

Cornello dei Tasso, located in Valle Brembana, is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy (Borghi più belli d’Italia) and one of the places in the Bergamo area where the medieval urban and architectural layout has been best preserved. Just above the village of San Giovanni Bianco, an old mule track leads to Oneta, where tradition places the birthplace of Harlequin. A handful of historic houses—some restored in full respect of their original structure—give the hamlet a timeless charm. You can fully breathe in this atmosphere while walking along the narrow arcaded streets, lined with rustic stone doorways, carved wooden balconies, and narrow windows with iron grilles.

CASINÒ SAN PELLEGRINO

The San Pellegrino Terme casino, inaugurated in 1907, is the work of architect Romolo Squadrelli and engineer Luigi Mazocchi. Built in just twenty months, it is considered one of the finest expressions of Art Nouveau architecture, famous throughout Europe!

AVERARA

Averara is a small municipality in the Brembana Valley, in the province of Bergamo, boasting a history-rich past that is evident from its many valuable historic buildings. The heart of the village is its arcade street, which was once the nerve center for trade across the entire valley

ZOGNO

Zogno, the small economic and administrative capital of the Brembana Valley, is also the valley’s most populous town. It offers a wide range of opportunities, including a natural setting of hills and mountains perfect for beautiful, easy hikes. It boasts numerous charming spots, and in its ancient hamlets, you can truly breathe in the scents and flavors of history everywhere you go.

CYCLING

Among the various activities you can enjoy, cycling plays a leading role thanks to wonderful cycle paths, both on paved roads and off-road trails. For those who aren’t fond of steep climbs, we recommend the cycle path that starts in Zogno and goes all the way to Piazza Brembana.
At our facility, you can pick up rental bikes and use them for your excursions!

MUSEO DELLA VALLE

At the Museum of the Valley, the past comes back to life through everyday objects and work tools, offering a glimpse into what life was once like in the Brembana Valley.
These objects tell the stories of women, men, and children—their daily routines and their connection to who we are today.

SPORT ALL YEAR ROUND!

The lack of dedicated facilities led to the popularity of outdoor sports, which are almost always the most demanding as well. As a result, the Brembana Valley has produced three Giro d’Italia winners, for example. Dozens of our athletes have represented, or currently represent, national teams in alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, biathlon, mountain running, the marathon, and more recently, mountain biking and football.

MUSEUM OF TASSO

The Museum of the Tasso Family and Postal History was founded in 1991 and is located across several historical buildings in the medieval village of Cornello. Cornello was the birthplace of the Tasso family, known worldwide for the literary work of Torquato Tasso and for the entrepreneurial skills of several family members, who founded and managed the European postal service for centuries.
